Hadil Hijazi, MA, MSc
is a seasoned trade policy advisor. She has 15 years professional experience advising public and private institutions on trade and economic policy and related private sector matters. Her practice focuses on trade policy and law, including in particular DDA negotiations, trade in services, NTBs and Trade Facilitation, rules of origin/cumulation, TBT, SPS, WTO accession, Aid for Trade, EuroMed negotiations and ACP-EU Economic Partnership Agreements. From 2000 to 2001 Hadil was a resident advisor to the Palestinian Ministry of Economy and Trade on trade policy and trade negotiations. Her academic activities include guest lectures at EDHEC, Nice, the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima. Hadil holds Masters degrees in International and Comparative Legal Studies from SOAS, London and Management from Boston University. Apart from her native Arabic she speaks English, German and some French.

Hannes Schloemann, LL.M.
is a trade lawyer and partner at MSBH Rechtsanwälte. His specializations include WTO and other trade negotiations (DDA in particular), WTO accessions, trade in services, trade in agriculture, goods/NAMA, trade & environment, TRIPS, WTO dispute settlement, S&D, anti-dumping, subsidies and sanctions, as well as regional trade agreements (EuroMed, EPAs), EU foreign trade law, climate change and general public international law. Prior stations of his career include Baker & McKenzie´s International Trade and WTO Practice Group, the office of an MP and the German Embassy in New Delhi. Hannes regularly teaches at academic institutions, including the WTI in Berne and the Universidad de Navarra. He is a member of the advisory board of the Zentrum für Außenwirtschaftsrecht in Münster. His publications include the award-winning 1999 American Journal of International Law article "Constitutionalization" and WTO Dispute Settlement – National Security as an Issue of Competence. Hannes speaks German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and some Arabic.
